March Beauty Favourites

Hi guys,
I know its been a long time no blog, but I've been really busy, caught up with friends and school work, and I haven't had much time for myself recently and been struggling. But, because of the strike today I finally had some time to sit down and relax and have some time for myself. Even if it was only catching up on sleep, tv and my blog! Right now were having fire proof doors put in through our house including our front door, which means no heating so its about -10 degrees and so I'm wearing about ten layers! Anyway, thats really of topic but here we go..

1. Naked 2 Palette
I had begged my parents for this for my birthday or christmas but they refuse to buy me makeup so I had to splurge my pocket money myself, but I'm so glad I did. It comes with twelve beautiful bronze coloured incredibly pigmented colours. I still can't work out why I didn't buy this before, seeing as it is so worth it. I know I will defiantly be completing the collection for the end of the year! Have you got any Naked palettes? They know have three palettes which are each designed to suit different coloured eyes! They all create such beautiful rich, smokey eyes and range from matte to shimmer! Picture on the right is mine from my instagram! Follow me!(:

2. Mac Mineralise Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus
So after sticking to my trusty rimmel stay matte powder I decided it was time to branch out and see what new picks were available. Of course my mind wondered to mac, and after thinking long and hard and looking at their different range i decided I wanted a light to medium coverage, and decided on the Mineralise Skinfinish! I'm so glad I did, it offers a light coverage that helps to hide redness, patchiness and minimises pores. it also doesn't look cakey and looks natural.

3. Real Techniques Core Collection - Buffing Brush
So I was going to do the whole collection but I decided just to pick out one of my most used brushes and my favourite which was this one. They're such good brushes and they each work out at £5.25 which is quite a bargain., in my opinion. They are all very multi purpose although they have their each own individual use. I use this one for my concealer as I think it helps pack in my concealer and give it a better coverage, and the bristles easily adapt to the shape of your face.

4. Benefit Erase Paste
This concealer. Wow. No words. it...nifkomf. PERFECT! THANK YOU BENEFIT! YOU HAVE AWNSERED MY PRAYERS! My dark circles, redness and black heads have been banished, I swear it brightens my eyes, whilst blending in my spots so much I can't see them. This is my all round perfect concealer, it does everything I ask, and I will continue to repurchase this for the rest of my life. It is so thick and creamy but blends in so easily, the only thing I can say is it smells.. really bad.. BUT ANYWAY THANK YOU BENEFIT FOR SORTING OUT THE WORLDS.. okay my biggest problem. I love you. No joke. Guys, go buy this. Now.

5. MAC Emanuel Ungaro Beauty Powder in 'Flower Mist Dew'
I'm not sure if its the packaging or beautiful pigmentation that drew my in but either way I love this. This is an incredibly old collection, back from 2008 I believe but I found it on DePop a site that I love so much, I have an awful addiction. This powder is a beautiful light pink. It gives such a light pink colour and a light sparkle that I love,  I never NEVER wear blush, but once again MAC you have changed my ways, and this is my staple blush.

So this was my March Favourites, I'm sorry I haven't updated but I promise I'm getting back into my blogging mojo, and aim to update three times a month! I hope you like it! Let me know what your march favourites have been, and how your year has been so far! Not gonna lie mines been a bit crappy, but on the brighter note my nephews being more in a little over 3 months! And I've finally picked my FINAL FINAL GCSE options! What have you choosen? What do you think of my new blog banner by the way!?

Love you guys!

Fiver Friday February

Hey My Lovelies,

How y'all doing!? So it is already week two of Fiver Friday February and time for your second instalment! I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who checked in to read my two latest posts last friday (Fiver Friday Week One, and Living With Vitiligo) the response towards Living With Vitiligo was amazing, I received hundreds of views just on that post, thank you so much! Thank you for the lovely comments too! :)

1. Miss Sporty Studio Lash Liquid Liner - £1.79
To be honest this is a typical liquid eyeliner, no different to most! But the price! It's inexpensive, whilst it stays put all day, plus it's smudge proof! Which I typically always have problems with!

2. Rimmel Stay Matte - £3.99

I personally use this product alone, but it can be used together to keep your foundation or concealer in place, it personally keeps me matte all day regardless of the bottom layer, it also reduces redness (which I suffer from slightly) which is a plus! It's really cheap and also lasts ages! You may need to re-apply in the day if you have an extra oily t-zone.

3. L'oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Micellar Solution - £3.30
I recently picked this up after hearing a few you tubers rave about it, and since it was on offer I decided to splurge, even if it was only £3.00! It cleanses your face, removes your makeup and impurities,  it tones your skin, and draws out oil! Its amazing! My skin looks five times clearer than before, and has ended up saving me a lot of money, as you don't need to put a cleanser, toner, oil remover and make up remover! Amazing product!

4. Models Own Nail Corrector Pen - £5.00
This is a life saver! It works a dream! I hate it when I make a small mistake, or when I slightly go over, I have to take it all off and start again, but with this I save so much time and anger! Thank you models own!

5. PONDS Hydronourishing Moisturiser
Last week I suddenly found these really dry patches on my skin, and had a total freak out. I literally ran to my nearest boots, and picked up the first moisturiser I found. (Properly not a good idea.. but it worked this time) Thankfully this moisturiser is really good, it has cleared up my dry skin within two days and leaves my skin soft, and saves it from the cold winter air. My skins really smooth, and I really recommend it! (It's also currently on offer in boots!)

So I hope you enjoyed the second instalment! Please comment if you found it useful! Please also follow my blog,  it means a lot to me! Anyway I hope your enjoying your week of!

Living with vitilgo

Hi guys,
I know this isn't a beauty post but I really wanted to do this as I wanted you guys to know what its like for me, and I'm about to face a difficult time with my vitiligo so this may help me.

Knowing that this post might just help one person, who might not nessicarily have vitiligo, but may have acne, or diformities then it would be worth it. Somedays I wake up and feel confident with my vitiligo, where as some days I want to curl up in a ball underneath my bed covers and scream 'why me?" Living with a skin condition, or anything strange or perculier is horrible, nobody understands but they pretend they do. I hate having people say "I understand" because you really don't understand how it feels, or "you can talk to me about it" if I want to talk about it then I will, but most of the time I want to forget, and pretend I'm normal.

Next year in May I'm going to France for a week with my school, its all water based activities which means wearing a bikini in front of people who might not have seen my vitiligo before, it means handling over 200 different reactions all at once, which is in incredibly overwhelming, and a incredibly scary thought, which continues to haunt me.  Back in April last year I began to go swimming once/twice a week with my friends, then the boys started going then I stopped. Fear of judgement. Fear of opinion. Fear of comments. Fear of bullys. Vitiligo has controlled me for my whole life; and most likely will continue to control me for the remain of my life. But I have to, so I hope doing this post will give me some confidence in showing who I really am.

I hate doing PE, even though I love sport. I hate swimming, even though I love swimming. I hate netball even though I love netball. I hate holidays even though I love holidays. I hate summer even though I love summer. All of them means revealing slightly more of me. Apart of me I long to hide, lock in a cage, peel off and kick. I scratch it somedays for so long my skin goes red and raw, I do it hoping it will somehow come off, I'm not stupid to know that it won't work. I don't even know why I do it, it dosn't even help. In fact it makes me so much angrier, but I continue to do it.

I have people call me names, and I have to deal with it. Nobody should have to hear people call you names, I've been called so many names, and I have learnt how to deal with it whether its to ignore it or protest against it. I don't like confrontation so I would never approach someone, if someone was starring at me - which they often are - then I will look away, blink back tears and carry on. But after I always regret never saying anything. You don't stare at someone who hasn't got a leg, or are in a wheelchair, so why stare at me? Am I really so awful to look at. I want to tell people how I feel, I shouldn't have to put up with mean people, I'm thirteen for godsake and I've come to terms with the fact that I'll never be popular, and that people in this world are mean, and so horrifically horrible. I'm not ordinary or anything wildly different, I may share the same skin has a giraffe or a cow. But that makes me; and I've come to terms with the fact that it is the real me. Behind the layers of makeup, and clothes that covers it all, is somebody broken, and exhausted. But I'm strong. I can have someone stare at me in disgust, point at me, laugh at me, whisper and torment me, tell me I wear to much makeup and I can walk away and smile. It's made me weak, but in a weird way its made me strong. I'll never understand why someone can feel the need to call me names, and point at me, and make me feel ten times worse about myself than I already did.

I'm sitting her crying, because I remember all the things I've been called, everything I have gone through. I remember being about eight and wearing a beautiful green leotard for my dancing class, I had been so excited for my dad to buy me that damn thing, I put it on feeling so elegant, and yet getting home I cried and cried because I said it didn't look right, I thought it would make me beautiful, but it enhanced what I could already see. I refused to but it on again, and even being eight I was scared to show the world who I was. I remember the teachers telling me off for wearing makeup to school, when I didn't wear any, telling them I didn't wear any, but they didn't believe me. I remember being on year eight camp, and not wearing shorts and tank tops even though all my friends did, and it was so hot and yet I wore long sleeves, and jeans. Then when we went swimming, I pretended to be on my period so I wouldn't have to swim in front of everyone. Ashamed. I've never felt accepted, or felt belonged. I was three when I was first started to have white patches appear, and being a model, companies wanted to cover it up, and pretend it wasn't there. My parents let them for a while, before they couldn't handle it. Who would? Watching your child be covered in makeup hiding their flaws, covering something so unique and different, because it wasn't defined as perfect or beautiful. When you break down you really do break down. I fell to the ground crying because I couldn't take it. I couldn't ignore it, and I couldn't pretend everything was okay because it wasn't. 'Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.' May be the stupidest thing to say, words hurt much more than you will ever know. They surround you, and the pain never subsides.

I will never understand why society thinks blonde hair, skinny, and tanned skin beautiful, I will never understand why people like me aren't accepted, and I will never understand why people feel better about making fun of me. One thing I do know is I have amazing friends, they get me through everything and I wouldn't be here without them. I love them all so much, they will never realise how much they have changed me for the better, and kept me up when I am down. When finally I do break down they don't make fun of me, they just hug me. Help me forget everything nasty. I love them all so much, thank you all for accepting me, and loving me for being me. You are all so beautiful inside and out, you are amazing people. Thank you.

'Vitiligo has taken over my life, it is a part of me, vitiligo is my natrual beauty, I just have to accept it.' You are all beautiful people, flaws define you, they make you stronger, they make you weak but they make you YOU. If you need any help contact me. - Daisysianbutterworth@gmail.com
If you need help please tell someone, they CAN help you.

I know this isn't my normal post, but I really needed to do this.

Fiver Friday February

Hey my lovelies,

I hope you have been enjoying your first few weeks of 2014! So as explained in my previous post I will be doing a post every Friday in February of beauty products you can buy for under five pounds! This will be the first post, so I'm really excited! I am aware that it is Saturday but I was in Belgum on a school trip yesterday from four in the morning until eleven, so I'm really sorry it's slightly late!

The first product is the 'Miss Sporty Pump Up Lash Mascara Booster'
It is amazing! Oh my god, It is the best mascara I have ever used, much better than the Benefit's mascara which is the most raved about mascara! It adds definition and mascara, whilst lasting the whole day without smudging which I seem to have problems with most mascaras I have tried. It's so cheap and will continue to remain a staple in my makeup bag. - £2.99

The Second product is the infamous 'EOS Lipbalm in Strawberry Sorbet'
It is the most amazing lip balm I have EVER tried, it is incredibly moisturising whilst tasting amazing. It gives a very subtle taste, and leaves your lips feeling silky soft. It also prevents lipstick feathering, which is really aggravating. It is really easy to apply and I love the packaging of it, its so cute and I take it every where! I love this! - £4.50

The Third Product is 'Barrym Hi Shine Gel Nail Paint'
These nail paints are AMAZING! They feel and look like gels whilst are only the fraction of the price! They last for around a week before they start to crack, which I do have a problem with and most other girls do. You don't need to bother with a clear layer, and you also don't need to apply hundreds of layers! There is a huge rang of beautiful colours! - £3.9

Fourth product is 'The Sleek Blushers'
These blushers are so beautiful, they also double up as blushers and bronzers which are great if your on a budget! They have the biggest range of colours, and all are beautifully pigmented whilst giving you a beautiful radiant glow. - £4.50

The final product is the beauty cult product 'Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer'
It conceals EVERYTHING! I have horrid dark circles and it completely covers them, it is by far the best concealer I have ever tried, and I have tried a lot. You do need to be slightly careful however as it can sometimes appear cake, as they have quite a small range of colors. I really would recommend this to anyone! It is widely popular and I've been trying to find a new one for about a month and everywhere I go its sold out! - £4.19

I really hope you liked this post as their is another two to go! I hope you have a wonderful valentines day, please leave a nice comment below and follow my blog, its great to now that I have some devoted readers! I am getting a lot of everyday viewers and it would be great to get to talk to some of you!

How to Contour, Highlight and Blush!

So this post is pretty much self explanatory! This post will help you to apply highlight, blush, and bronzer. You will need a contour brush, and powder brush, and a highlighter, bronzer and blusher.

I am using the Real Techniques powder brush, Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, the MAC '168' Brush, Hoola Bronzer, Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in 'Soft and Gentle' and Mac Blush in 'Harmony'

1. First I apply primer, this helps to even your complexion, and keep your make up as fresh as possible, I normally go with Benefit's Porefessional or Smashbox's Photo finish primer, but any primer which works if fine.

2. So to begin with I contour. This will emphasise your cheekbones. Make sure you choose a colour best suited for you, so not to dark, a light colour is best as you can build up easily, and gives you more of a choice depending on the occasion. To apply this using my 'Real Techniques expert face brush' as it is a great shape for my small face. I suck in my cheekbones so I can easily find where they are situated, and using my contou
r brush I start from the highest point of my cheek near my ear and work downwards. I then use my powder brush to blend in so the contour isn't to harsh. I then apply a tiny bit of bronzer on my temple close to my hairline, and the bottom of my neck, and any where else the sun may bronze me up! Depending on the occasion I may repeat if I want a bit more, or may blend further if I want a slightly more natural look.

3. The next step is to now apply the highlight; I apply this using the same 'MAC 168' and I start on top of the check bones so very slightly above the bronzer. I do this in circular motions, again I use the 'Real Techniques Powder Brush' to blend it in. I also like to highlight my brow bone which is just below the eyebrow, and down the centre of my nose. You can also highlight between your brows, on your cupids bow and the centre of your chin, or any where else you may like a highlighted glow!

4. The final step is the blusher. I think this is the hardest part as if it goes wrong you have to start all over again, it is also hard to pinpoint the part of your cheeks which blushes. Try going for a slightly more natural colour if your just starting over, and experiment when you feel more confident. I don't always apply blusher, as I normally have a natural pink glow on my cheeks anyway. I apply the blush on the apples of my cheeks. This may mean you'll need to do a really big cheesy grin in the mirror to apply. I use my 'Real Techniques Expert Face Brush' and tap of the excess and then blend in circular motions, depending on my mood I may choose to build up the colour or blend it in further.

That is all it is too it! If your first trying off with the seperate techniques, it is best to practise a few times until you feel confident to combine all three skills, and experiment with your look which best suits you! I hope this helped! If your still confused about where to apply, then look online at images there are lots of great diagrams! (I can't put them on here due to copyright)

How To Protect Your Hair From Heat

Hey, I'm sorry for the infrequent updates, I've been really busy the past few weeks. But, now we have a few weeks off, I can now finally update my blog for you chummies! I hope you like this post, about how to protect your hair from heat, Some of you may know that I straighten my hair everyday, so it's not in excellent condition, however it's not actually that bad either… In this post I'll tell you how I manage to protect my hair from my straighteners.

1. Apply Heat Protectant

You can get these almost anywhere, I buy mine from super drug and have been loving VO5's Heat protect. I first part my hair, and apply the top layer in a clip and apply heat protecter. I brush it out, and then leave it to dry. If you try and straighten your hair when its wet it will burn your hair,
so make sure you wait for it to dry out.

2. Apply Deep Conditioning Masks when Possible

I personally LOVE Lush's H'suan Wen Hua! I apply this all over my hair and leave for 30 minutes to an hour. I get about three to four uses of the pot it retails at £8.95 This basically restores mositure, and improves the condition of your hair. Since using my split ends have improved so much! I recommend it so much! You can get deep conditioners, from almost anywhere including super drug and boots.

3. Use good Shampoo's and Conditioners

Using high end shampoos and conditioners, really makes huge differences to your hair. Since I have been using Aussie my hair has drastically improved. They work wonders on frizzy and heat damaged hair, and last a long time. There also often on offer in boots for 3 for £10! They make your hair shiny, and have reduced the amount of split ends I have. I also recommend Dove Intensive Repair, its much cheaper but works just as efficiently. Both have drastically improved the condition of my hair, and leaving it soft and shiny.

4. Have Days Off

I seem like a hypocrite saying this, but just not straightening your hair, and leaving it for a few days will  improve the condition of your hair. Try having the weekends off, and just throw it in a bun, so it can recover. Or just try going to school with it up instead of curling, or straightening it. Try heatless hairstyles such as natural waves by plaiting your hair overnight, so it will be wavy in the morning, or sleep in curlers. Or french braid it, it makes a nice change and gives your hair time to recover.

5. After Washing Your Hair TIPS

Don't brush your hair when its wet, as its more vulnerable to breakage, and don't brush your hair in the shower either. Wash your hair in the evening, then you won't need to blow dry it. Apply leave in conditioner overnight, and when your going to bed with wet hair, sleep on a towel as pillow cases cause friction damage, which breaks your hair.

6. Tips

When you wash your hair try to keep the water as cold as possible, this well help seal vitamins, as well as preventing more heat damage. Don't wash your hair everyday, washing your hair everyday causes it to become greasy much more quickly, and also means your need to apply heat everyday. If you don't need to wash your hair everyday, then try just straightening your hair once after you wash it and leave it until you need to wash it again.

I hope you all have a wonderful chirstmas and week off, my next update will be in January after the 7th as I'm going on holiday to Egypt! Hope you all enjoy your time of from school, and enjoyed this update! Bye my lovelies!!
